This week (22-29 June) is Armed Forces Week – a chance for us all to show our support for the men and women who make up the UK Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
The week culminates in Armed Forces Day this Saturday 28 June and many of our Sussex towns are hosting celebratory events to mark the occasion.
My video is in response to the Strategic Defence Review and the government’s announcement of increased funding. This will be an important area for the Mayor to focus upon, especially as the intention is to make defence an engine for growth, increasing jobs and strengthening homeland defence.
