My campaign to be the first Mayor of Sussex officially launched, supported by activists and MPs from across Sussex. The energy was electric and the determination to do our best for Sussex was evident.
I believe Sussex deserves strong, experienced leadership that puts local people first. This role isn't about party politics. It's about getting things done. Fixing our roads. Making our streets safer. Attracting new investment. Building homes the right way, with local say and proper infrastructure. Strong protection for our countryside and coastal areas. More opportunities for young people to train, learn and work locally. As Mayor, I'll focus on the issues that matter to you. Sussex is my home and I'll never stop working for the place I love
